Fox News Calls Trump in January 6 Hearings ‘Horrific’
Well, what do you know? Even Fox News’ Bret Baier thought the House January 6 Select Committee hearing made our ex-president” look horrific.” Of course, Donald Trump is just that kind of a guy.

The chief political anchor was talking about the Select Committee’s summer blockbuster finale, a primetime look into 187 minutes the former POTUS sat glued to his televisions watching the mob he raised trying to overthrow our democracy. He would see something he particularly liked and rewind play, rewind play.
Trump was thrilled with “his people,” and he could not understand why those around him were shocked instead. But what would we expect from a kid who threw rocks at the baby in the neighbor’s yard for fun? Or as a teen entertained himself by hanging a neighbor kid from an upper floor window by his ankles to hear him scream?
Baier said, according to The Business Insider:
‘Laying out all these 187 minutes makes him look horrific, it really does. To hear it and see it in that chronological order can be very powerful.’
Baier pointed out that two top Trump advisors resigned that day, former Deputy National Security Advisor Matthew Pottinger and former Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Matthews:
‘All of these people who have been testifying at one point or another wanted Trump to win. They served under his leadership. They wanted him to be a success.’
Whether it changes the view of Republican voters is another matter altogether, Baier said.
But the Republican Party is split between those addicted to Pied Piper Trump and his magical dictatorship and those who believe in a democracy and its freedoms. Baier wanted to know more about who ordered the National Guard troops. Well, it was not Trump. The newscaster continued:
‘The charges are that it's just not balanced.’
Now, this is not the first time this Fox talking head has been critical of Trump, even though his associates fawn all over 45 to get the audience and make Rupert Murdoch the big bucks.
But even Murdoch’s The New York Post and The Wall Street Journal ripped into Trump on their editorial pages. Not The National Geographic so far as I know. Although given time, they might be able to work in something like shark week.
Look at these headlines: Trump failed at The Journal, and Trump's silence on January 6 is damning," at The Post.
Of course, it appears that the Republican leadership will probably ride Trump down all the way.
