‘The Lincoln Project’ Launches Fight Against Trump 2024 Campaign
Donald Trump is back. And The Lincoln Project is right here ready to take on the “angry, vengeful” ex-president. The latest video points out how there really is no room for the man who wants to “wreck America again.”
Then, the question becomes once again:
‘WHO’S GOING TO STOP HIM?’
Certainly not the Republican “weaklings and losers.” Nor the business leaders. No, they will just “bend a knee and write the checks.’
So what about the press? Surely, as the fourth leg of America, they will call 45 and potentially 47 out to task.
Nancy Pelosi Denounces MAGA Extremists On ‘CNN Sunday’
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared on CNN’s State of the Union with co-host Dana Bash and expressed sorrow that her husband Paul had to suffer for something meant for her. She spoke out about the Republicans’ response, which was worse than callous.
Pelosi spoke of the Americans who expressed their desires to vote in the midterms after the speaker’s husband was beaten:
‘[S]O MANY HAVE SAID I’M GOING TO BE SURE TO VOTE BECAUSE THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR.’
Judge Overturns 6-Week Abortion Ban For Violating U.S. Constitution
Georgia’s recently installed abortion ban at six weeks has just been overturned. Fulton County Superior Judge Robert McBurney ruled that the peach state’s law violated the American Constitution and U.S. Supreme Court precedent.
The state law made abortion illegal after a “detectable human heartbeat.” An ultrasound can detect beats in embryo cells at approximately six weeks. Those cells will eventually form themselves into a human heart. That meant abortions in Georgia were banned before most women had any idea they were even pregnant.
The state implemented the ban in July after the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) overturned Roe v. Wade and half a century of precedent. SCOTUS handed the states the final decisions of how to install their own laws.
Liz Cheney Shames Traitorous GOP Colleagues After Midterm Flop
Arguably the bravest Republican in office, Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), stepped up to the microphone on Thursday and spoke about what she calls “Team Normal.” Listening to her words, Americans saw that she has not given up on her party. And the Wyoming representative celebrated the 2022 midterm elections as “a rejection of the toxicity” of Donald Trump.
Cheney appeared as the guest speaker for the Anti-Defamation League’s Never Is Now Summit on Antisemitism and Hate. The representative has been a “fierce critic of Donald Trump,” according to The Business Insider. And certainly, there are numerous elected Republicans who still support the previous president in all his poisonous glory.
The Vice Chair of the House January 6 Select Committee commented on the “victory for Team Normal,” according to CNN.
Longtime Trump Executive Reveals Illegal Family Financial Practices
Longtime Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for The Trump Organization Allen Weisselberg, 75, testified under oath Thursday. He said that the company halted its illegal tax practices at the same time that Donald Trump stepped into the White House.
The CFO actually began working for the organization before the ex-president took over from his father. Now Weisselberg is testifying in a New York court and taking on the illegal activities himself. If the man is honest in his testimony, he will serve a five-month prison sentence at Rikers Prison and five years probation. The penalty for not fully cooperating is between five and 15 years in prison.
Judge Juan Merchan has to approve the deal, and the judge will decide what the CFO’s sentence is.
On day two of the trial, Weisselberg continued his testimony. He said that the company had been “cutting executives” bonus checks by means of 1099 income tax form long before the former CFO ever came on board in 1986. That illegal technique saved the company from paying taxes, and the individuals avoided any taxes from being withheld. Those checks were usually $100,000-plus.
