Hi Friends,
Finally, I can bring you some very good political news! And I am back full force after my latest bout with the coronavirus (Delta variant). Doing okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Sorry to be gone so long.
As you know, I do at least one Laughs and one Taste of my Latest Political News. I do a range of articles: economics, laws, media, bills, hearings, elections, and women’s issues. Here are three to choose from today. Enjoy your weekend!

Biden Economy Adds 531k Jobs In October, Shattering Predictions
So here is the deal. With President Joe Biden’s hard infrastructure bill could head toward the Senate any time. That means, Americans will finally start to see his promise of good-paying jobs paying off. This POTUS’ plans are all related to each other like intermeshing gears. Yes the pandemic put the brakes on the economy he inherited, but news about a new and better economy is coming in every day. Like this.
Our economy brought in 531,000 new jobs last month, The Associated Press reported. This made sense. Just look at the country’s supply chain. The bottleneck at major ports happened, because there were not enough truckers to haul the goods across the nation. So what happened? Trucking schools have been adding students like crazy.
Not only that, our unemployment numbers dropped, too, from 4.8 percent to 4.6 percent. Now, that did not reach the 3.5 pre-pandemic percentage, but it has been rapidly heading that way. It sure looked better the 6.3 percent in January, according to The Washington Post.
As the school-age children have been approved for the coronavirus shots, women can feel more comfortable about sending them back into the classroom. And that means they can also return to work instead of schooling their children from home.

Murkowski Snubs GOP With Defiant Statement To Support Voting Rights
As hard it is to imagine after Tuesday night’s debacle, the Republicans and Democrats have come together to honor the long-standing Civil Rights Representative John Lewis. Three Democrats and one Republican have announced that they have come to a compromise on a bill many feared was dead.
In a bipartisanship effort, four senators compromised to create the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act on Tuesday: U.S. Senators Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Joe Manchin (D-WV).
Their proposed bill moved to broaden the support of Representative Lewis’ bill, which was introduced in October. The senators indicated that this bill will replace the earlier bill, but “it stays true to the same bipartisan blueprint followed by Congress in each of the five times it has previously enacted legislation to update and reauthorize the Voting Rights Act of 1965.”
The senator from Alaska, Murkowski, wrote in the press release that “Every American deserves equal opportunity to participate in our electoral system and political process:”
‘VOTING RIGHTS ARE FUNDAMENTAL TO OUR DEMOCRACY AND HOW WE PROTECT THEM DEFINES US AS A NATION. I HAVE SUPPORTED THIS PARTICULAR LEGISLATION IN PREVIOUS CONGRESSES AND CONTINUED TO WORK WITH MY COLLEAGUES ON IT, BECAUSE IT PROVIDES A FRAMEWORK THROUGH WHICH LEGITIMATE VOTING RIGHTS ISSUES CAN BE TACKLED.’
‘THIS YEAR, OUR BILL INCORPORATES THE NATIVE AMERICAN VOTING RIGHTS ACT, WHICH ADDRESSES SOME OF THE LONG-STANDING OBSTACLES THAT AMERICAN INDIANS AND ALASKA NATIVES FACE. EVERY AMERICAN DESERVES EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR ELECTORAL SYSTEM AND POLITICAL PROCESS, AND THIS BILL PROVIDES A STARTING POINT AS WE SEEK BROADER BIPARTISAN CONSENSUS ON HOW BEST TO ENSURE THAT.’

New Jobs Report Shows Joe Biden’s Economy Looking Good
When President Joe Biden walked into the Oval Office, he found the economy in tatters and an out-of-control Coronavirus pandemic. In spite of that, he came to the office with a plan to take us into a thriving 21st-century life far better than before. The thing is, we must go forward into the future, because the fires of the past are already licking at our heels.
It is hard to get a grasp of the enormity of moving us forward. Right now people only see the inflation part at the gas station and grocery store. His $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, the economic stimulus measure Congress approved in March, is long spent.
But moving back just a bit, we can begin to see the possibilities and opportunities that await us as we join President Biden in what he calls the battle for the soul of the nation. Why? Because this may be our last chance. To repair the economy, which is as we all know, not how high the stock market soars, America needs to get a grip on the COVID-19 and its Delta variant, which left us all forever changed.
The economy currently is performing admirably, according to The Energy Policy Institute:
An average of 561,000 jobs added per month this year.
Economic data suggests that its forecast of a passing economic storm is likely to be correct.
A key monthly inflation reading that economists track — the core personal consumption expenditure index — has dropped for five straight months, suggesting price pressures may be easing.
