Hi Friends. What a week this has been! Yesterday was December 1 and tomorrow is Christmas. In between, we managed to fit in Donald Trump’s self-described dirty trickster Roger Stone’s stonewalling the January 6 Select Committee. Then, there was the far more contagious Coronavirus Omicron variant that reared its ugly head. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) said that he might go for President Joe Biden’s signature Build Back Better bill if the president would give him a deep tissue massage — personally, another Masserati, and hugs every Tuesday for the rest of his term. But no promises.
And of course, there is Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ). Who knows what she wants? She said she was not celebrating Christmas with the rest of the gang and went home early — as usual.
Well, you take a look below at how the rest of it went.

‘The Lincoln Project’ Asks America To Stand Up & Save Democracy
We take our great democracy for granted, assured that it can withstand anything people try to throw at it. We came within a hair’s breadth of losing it on January 6, and the slow-motion coup tugs us toward a dictatorship, continuing to this day. But there is a solution. We can save life as we know it.
We can escape being ruled by a tyrant who kills off protests and free journalism. Who either drags people to prison or murders them for speaking truth. We do not have to live under a cape of fear and mass propaganda.
Those brilliant people over at The Lincoln Project, reformed away from the not-so-Grand Old Party, show us how. It means work, but we are up to it:
‘FIGHTING FOR THE RIGHT TO VOTE HAS BEEN A LONG AMERICAN JOURNEY. INSPIRING. PAINFUL. FRUSTRATING. BUT WE NEVER STOPPED MOVING FORWARD TO THAT MORE PERFECT UNION. WITH JUSTICE AND LIBERTY — FOR ALL.’
Liz Cheney Takes On Trump & Fox News In 4-Tweet Thread
While Democrats may not agree with Representative Liz Cheney on her politics, they stand firmly beside her patriotism. The attempted coup was about far more than the party. Trump refused to take action on January 6 for over three hours. That is a very long time for Capitol and D.C. Police to engage in Medieval hand-to-hand combat trying to save our lawmakers’ lives and the lives of all the personnel who worked in the building, according to The Washington Post.
Trump listened to the shouts, the chaos, the sounds of battle. Not only was he enjoying it, watching from a White House window overlooking the scene. He did not understand why the others around him were not. He had invited his mob to the nation’s Capitol, ginned them up, and aimed them right at America’s symbol of freedom, our Capitol Building.
Wyoming’s Representative Cheney released these tweets:
‘FOX NEWS HOSTS SEAN HANNITY AND LAURA INGRAHAM HAVE NOW RECONFIRMED THEIR VIEWS THAT THE VIOLENCE ON JANUARY 6TH WAS UNJUSTIFIED AND UNACCEPTABLE. (1/4)’
Multi-Billion Defamation Lawsuit Against Fox News For Election Lies Moves...
President Joe Biden’s persistent optimism makes a big difference in how Americans view their everyday lives. Sure, the COVID variants appear to be with us much as the flu continues to be. But a remarkably good economy in spite of all this is a refreshing break from the gloom and doom days of the ex-president. This is what Americans will see speeding rapidly down that highway of recovery.
Unemployment benefits applications are at a 52-year-low even though there was a slight uptick, The Wall Street Journal reported. This slight movement means that our labor market will need workers, which is very good. This is a problem that can be a solution to another problem, immigration. As has happened since our nation first began, immigrants have played an integral role.
