Hi there! How are you doing? Well, now that we have all grown accustomed to having the COVID-19 virus and got our second booster shot (or not), there is something new to worry about.
People tend to smile when they say or hear Monkey Pox. No, it does not turn a person into a monkey. Unless they already were one, that is. But it is not a laughing matter. Fortunately, Monkey Pox is not very contagious, but hardly any fun. And the good news is that it takes very close, emphasis on the very close contact to catch it. More good news. The existing smallpox vaccine appears to work on it!
And get this, we still have a few problems but they include good news, too. Inflation? The Ukrainian War? The baby formula crisis? Burn Pits Exposing Vets to Disease? Increasing Interest Rates. Rising Prices Due to Price Gouging? Republican Legislators? Wayward Democratic Legislators? Gun violence? Losing the House and Senate Majority? Cheating in the 2022 Midterm Elections. Voter Intimidation. Trump Returning as USA King? Overturning Roe v. Wade? Outlawing Birth Control? Well, yes. But not all of them.
That’s good news? You bet. If you are looking for something to do to help make sure we win the 2022 midterm elections, pick one. That’s all. Just one. And more good news, anything and everything helps.
Thank you,
Gloria
Liz Cheney Unloads On GOP Colleagues After Buffalo Massacre
Buffalo, New York’s shooting massacre sparked outrage among both the Democratic and Republican legislators. The woman who represents Wyoming’s residents, Liz Cheney (R-WY), has had it with the people who slid off of the GOP ticket and down to the Donald Trump Party. She said the current minority leaders have “enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and antisemitism,” according to The Daily Beast.

Trump opened Pandora’s jar with his words and unleashed “all manner of misery and evil,” in Britannica’s reference to the Greek mythology. Since he was in office, hate crimes have skyrocketed, and the nation has become ever more split.
Adam Kinzinger Rips Elise Stefanik For Buffalo Shooting Complicity
One of two Republicans on the January 6 Committee, Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) tweeted out perhaps the biggest questions swirling around the Republican House members now. They were about the Buffalo Shooting and the GOP House leadership after it booted Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her leadership role. Donald Trump-endorsed Elise Stefanik (R-NY) took her job.
The Buffalo, New York shooting was a “racially-motivated execution by …an 18-year-old White man.” He live-streamed his attack with the purpose of kicking “off a race war,” according to ABC News.
Trump Backed MAGA Superstar Candidate For Governor Gets Crushed
Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin wanted to be governor of Idaho so badly that when Governor Brad Little went out of town, she crowned herself governor and dropped the state’s mask mandate. This is not done, but she did it. Tuesday, she faced off against him in the gubernatorial race and lost.
The last time that a Lt. Governor went up against his boss, the Governor, in a gubernatorial race, was in 1938 before World War II.
The winner was projected by the Associated Press (AP), according to The Daily Beast:
‘WITH 98% OF PRECINCTS REPORTING, LITTLE HAD 53% OF THE REPUBLICAN VOTE; MCGEACHIN HAD 32%; ED HUMPHREYS HAD 11%; STEVE BRADSHAW HAD 2%; AND FOUR OTHER CANDIDATES EACH HAD 1% OR LESS.’
State Supreme Court Invalidates Texas Anti-Trans Children Policy
It appears that even Texas has wiser a Supreme Court than the one in Washington, D.C. In Texas, the court decided that neither Governor Greg Abbott (D-TX) nor his attorney general can on a whim ordered the state to do child abuse inspections on families. The governor opposed “certain medical treatment for their transgender children,” according to Reuters.
Specifically, Texas’ high court claimed that the state could not go after a 16-year-old transgender child’s family. This was during the time their lawsuit had become stuff in the lower courts.
Adam Schiff Tears Into Elise Stefanik For Her GOP/Qanon Cult
Number three in the House Republican Party, Elise Stefanik (R-NY), is playing a dangerous game. She jumped into the House’s leadership role when the Grand Old Party (GOP) kicked Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) out of its leadership. Representative Schiff (D-CA) just called the New York representative out on promoting the Big Lie, that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.
Schiff tweeted that Stefanik had done her best to draw her QAnon followers along with her:
‘WHEN SHE’S NOT PUSHING THE BIG LIE, OR PROMOTING A RACIST DOCTRINE THAT INSPIRED THE BUFFALO SHOOTER, @REPSTEFANIK IS APPEALING TO HER QANON BASE. FROM MODERATE TO THE CRAVEN RIGHT-WING, HER STORY IS THE STORY OF THE MODERN GOP. LESS PARTY THAN ANTI-TRUTH CULT OF PERSONALITY.’
‘The Lincoln Project’ Piles On Madison Cawthorn For Being A Loser
This is one of The Lincoln Project’s most notable ads, a farewell, almost a memorial. The smart guys over there pulled in clips of Representative Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) showing us what would cause the not-so-Grand Old Party to boot a person from their party.
What deeply offended the Republican leaders was that his words pulled in other members of the party. Cawthorn insulted their leadership by saying that they had sex parties, orgies, and invited him to come along.
