Sunday Laughs
THE NEWSLETTER FOR INTELLIGENT WOMEN & MEN
Good morning! I love Halloween. When I was little I went to a two-room schoolhouse. And we would go around the neighborhood singing an 1861 camp song that was a rather gruesome song in retrospect, John Brown’s Body Lays a moldering in the grave... We traveled in a real trailer piled with bales of hay, snow spitting. I went as an old man. And I still remember the smell of those old masks we had as we filled our real brown bags with apples and homemade cookies and a little candy.
Two of my all-time favorite costumes as an adult were Twilight and Life of the Party of the Party. What were your favorite costumes?
Be safe and be well. I took the bonus booster COVID shot with no problems. I hope you can get yours. They promise a rough virus this winter.
But enough of that! Let’s laugh!
