Sunday Laughs
Hi there! Well, I’m finally back. For those of you who don’t know, I had a bad fall, and it took a while to feel human again. But I’m here! And what an awful week to be out of action. The midterms have been like a slow-moving mystery. But finally, we took the Senate and they tell me there is a pathway for us to take the House.
It makes me happy that Americans of all ilk stood up to take back our democracy from the not-normal wing of the Republican Party. These old white guys waited 30 years to put the little woman in her place by taking away Roe v. Wade and contraception shortly thereafter. It must not have occurred to them that we women would vote them down. Like we would stand for a politician deciding our health care.
The guy in my computer became talkative. I don’t like it, but he refuses to shut up. This morning he said:
‘Message from God.’
I waited, because this could be important. And waited. But nada. Not only is the guy in my computer loud, he just might be a Republican legislator, don’t you think?
So here is my thought for the day:
‘“Tuck and roll” is clearly a conspiracy theory.’
I was being stupid. I tend to lose my balance in the dark. It’s a side-effect of one of my prescriptions. But well worth it normally. So I forgot and took a spectacular fall, applying the old “Tuck and Roll” theory. And I managed to damage nearly every part of my body. But I’m close to well. Of course, I can’t go out in public, because my forehead looks like something out of a Halloween movie.
On the other hand, it might be kind of fun. And pretend this is how I always look. :)
