Okay, before we start, I must say that my Autocorrecto and I are just not getting along. He thinks he is far smarter than me. Big mistake. He is not! Not even a little. Oh, I can override him, but then he sneaks in an embarrassing word from outer space after I’ve done my proofing, I am sure. So beware. When he thrusts me into auto-hell, I didn’t do it!
Alright, now he is just sitting there all smug and self-satisfied. Waiting. Waiting until I forget him. Then, at the last moment, he pounces upon my pristine words and tears the whole place apart — in the most embarrassing way.
Okay, that is true. But. I also had the Orgasmvirus fog (two weeks ago). It didn’t come tripping on little cat feet like the fog of literature. Oh no. It smacked me into a room and sat on me.
I’d go in to The Bipartisan Report, get a lede, and write an article. Then, I decided I would ask the publisher if it made any sense. He was so kind, so gentle. But no, it didn’t make any sense. For three days that happened. So alright, maybe some of those bizarro words were mine. But most of them belonged to my Autocorrecto.
Enough of that! Let’s laugh!

Boy howdie Gloria, I too think auto-correction has a wicked sense of humor, it almost cost me a friendship, by changing one little word, it completely changed my whole meaning. Like you, I proof read before hitting the send button, only to my horror, do I find a huge mistake, now on some platforms you can easily edit, making that correction before releasing, on others, there is no way to make the correction, you can only make your profound apology.
I have found myself in a battle of witts with my so called " smart phone ", it is forever changing my words and therefore changing the whole meaning, it becomes a tedious process at times.
Love how you think Gloria, seems we have a lot in common.
