Well, hi there again. I never used to like Sundays. But now I like them a lot. Part of it has to do with writing this newsletter. I think people need to laugh to break the awful tension that comes with these dire times. It makes me laugh that there are guys sitting so far on the right they may fall off who are pushing this “Wait on me” propaganda. I thought we got rid of that back in the ’70s.
But they are trying to convince us that our place is barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. It is true. They are trying. And I am certain some women will fall for it, but not many I hope.
On the other hand, we did fall for going back to work and doing all the housework and kid stuff…at least to a certain extent.
I say let’s return to 1960 when a family could live on one salary, we had real food instead of everything drenched in corn syrup and styrofoam. Okay, maybe not styrofoam but definitely oil products. And people were rewarded for loyalty to the company where they worked. What do you think?
